
Fabricated the extensions for the horizonal members to connect them to the steel upright. 21 pieces in all and a major pain in the back.

First, cut the stock to 13 inch lengths.

Drill holes. Not rocket science. They don't need to be precise either.

This bit is called a countersink.

It does this... chews out a cone shaped 'sink'...
...for the head of the screw to sit in. This gives your workpiece a well-finished look. Protruding screw heads are an eyesore and can often be seen on cheap furniture or woodwork.
