2 Effective Natural Cat Repellents

Problem:

Yeah, cats are all cute and cuddly until they start using your front lawn as a litter box. This one has staked its claim on my polycarbonate roofing. I hear cats are a problem for many people, so here's what we do to get rid of them quite effectively.

Solution #1

Well, that's only part of the solution.

OK seriously, oranges are a natural cat repellent that really works. Cats HATE the smell of citrus. Use this piece of intelligence to your advantage to defend your turf against feline intruders.

Step 1: Get an orange.

Step 2: Quarter the orange like so. With the aforementioned knife.

Step 3: Eat the aforesaid orange.

Step 4: Dice orange peels.

Step 5: Sprinkle liberally over the vulnerable areas of your garden.

We actually save all our orange peels in a bowl, ready for when we need them.

Solution #2
Repel intruding cats with water. Open fire without hesitation on any cats in sight. I mean water. Much in the same way a certain government repels dissenting citizens, except in that case, the aforesaid government is trying to keep the 'Najis' in instead of out. Anyway, cats hate water and if you hose them down enough, they soon get the idea and stop coming.

I brutally hosed this cat as it was trying to claim my turf for its own. You can tell by the wet patches of fur and the pissed-off look on its face. It got the clue, and never set its paws on my lawn again. Great success.

awww... poor cats! :( They just need a place to call home, can't you share?

they can call it home, but they can't call it loo

Don't you have a loo at home? The lawn happens to be their loo!

In that case I was merely adding a pleasant citrine scent to their loo, and looking out for the hygiene of that particular black cat :)
