Timber Fencing Construction with Resak Wood - Epi. 1

Over the weekend I managed to track down a timber yard in Puchong that sells resak wood, the wood of choice for outdoor applications as its very hard and very durable. 2 sizes are needed, 2x1 inches for vertical support columns and 1.5x1/2 inches for the horizontal strips.

Individually sanded them down with the trusty Bosch PEX 115 power sander...


And coated them one by one with Jotun Woodshield Exterior in clear satin flavour. Applied with brush of course.


Wifey pitched in to help :) You can see the difference between the coated (right) and uncoated timber (left).


The stuff is magic, it really brings out every detail of the wood grain and texture, making it look much more beautiful. I couldn't recommend it more.


Now to watch paint dry. Dum dee dum...
